The internet says the 2022 gets between 49, and 50 mpg. I noticed the older models have slightly better mpg. Seems kinda backwards to me. When I first started riding it it matched what the internet said about mpg. You want to keep the piston speed down under 4000 Feet per Minute for a stock engine. 6000 RPM x 3.75 Stroke / 6 = 3750 FPM. So right at 6000 RPM is about max. so the 5700 RPM is a safe bet which makes our Piston speed 3562 FPM. FYI from Jim Hand's engine book - 1) peak HP in stock motors is about 5200 rpm.
